Xiaomi has a product line of wearable devices such as smart bracelet Mi Band. But this product has not been updated for a long time, lastly through Mi Band 2 that rolled over two years ago in 2016. The situation seems to be about to change. CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun recently gave an indication that his company will soon refresh the product line Mi Band.
“We are looking forward to a new version of the Xiaomi (Mi Band) bracelet,” Jun said in an event in China earlier this month. In other words, Jun seems to “ensure” the presence of Mi Band 3. The exact schedule of the presence of Mi Band 3 itself is still unknown. However, the smart bracelet device is expected to slide this year.
A few weeks ago Mi Band 3 is known to have received a Bluetooth certification so as to strengthen the suspicion about its appearance in the near future. As summarized geekandtech from Android Headlines, Wednesday (7/3/2018), in the certification, the device was categorized as “mobile accessory” with Bluetooth 4.2 LE (low-energy) support.
Mi Band 3 is predicted to have an OLED display, and can monitor a number of user health-related parameters, such as pulse rate, step count, calories, and more. About the prices, Xiaomi Mi Band previous generation priced under 30 US dollars. So, the selling price of Mi Band 3 is likely will not be far from that range.
